Guadalajara is
said to be the most Mexican city in Mexico. This is true in its culture,
its people and the products they produce. That translates into a wonderful
shopping experience amidst all the culture that flows in the various parts
of the city. If shopping is your thing, then this package is perfect for
you. We have taken care of the planning and transportation. All you have
to do it be ready to have a great time. Our tours are led by our teachers,
so it is also a great time to practice what you learned in the classroom as well
as learn about the city.
In addition, for some
mid-week rejuvenation, we have arranged for a afternoon at one of the area's
finest day spas. Shopping and pampering, the perfect combination. The spa day is
optional (see our rates for details about costs).
Not only will you be
able to experience some of the best shopping Mexico has to offer, you will be
accompanied by one of our staff members so you can continue to practice learning
Spanish while doing something you love to do.

Guadalajara Historic District
After a leisurely lunch, get ready to explore the Historic
Downtown District known as the "Centro". As part of your guided tour of the area, you
will visit the "largest" market in Latin America known as Mercado Libertad.
You can find just about everything here including traditional arts and
crafts, clothing, and more.
Tuesday
Zapopan Historic District
The Guadalajara metropolitan area really consists of two
municipalities, Guadalajara and Zapopan. Although smaller than the
Guadalajara Centro, the Zapopan Historic District has much to offer and
should not be missed. It is perfect for a laid back stroll through its brick
streets filled with traditional stores and modern museums.

Afternoon at the Spa
Spend over fours hours at one of
Guadalajara's finest day spas. Relax and rejuvenate as you are pampered from head to toe. At the hands of experts, your body and soul will be renewed. You
can select from a menu of services, such as type of massage, facial or maybe
even a manicure and pedicure.
Thursday
Market Day in Tonala
Thursday is market day in Tonala. The streets are filled
with people and booths selling world famous arts and crafts, talavera
pottery and ironwork. You will see how they make blown glass, tableware and
more and have a chance to visit the hundreds of artistic boutiques that line
the town's streets.

Tlaquepaque-The Ultimate in Arts &
Crafts
Tlaquepaque is home to some of the best artists in the
region. The quality is superb and the variety is amazing. The town of
Tlaquepaque has also recently undergone a major renovation, which only adds
to the experience. Have a drink or a snack in the El Parian and watch live
mariachi perform. Stroll through the endless galleries and shops and find
those perfect gifts for family or friends, and of course, some for
yourself too.
