	Volunteer Program Include Volunteering as Part of Your Experience Why volunteer? Our program allows you to choose a volunteer experience to augment your immersion experience. By participating as a volunteer you increase your exposure and usage of the language, get additional job experience, and meet new friends, while, at the same time, contributing to the community and those in need. Volunteering is extremely rewarding and most people choose to volunteer for a number of reasons. Some people may volunteer to get some experience in the field they want to work in whilst others may volunteer to stop them from being bored or to meet new people. Whatever your reason for volunteering the benefits are never ending! Employers look kindly upon volunteers because it shows you are committed and trustworthy. Many people who decide to become volunteers are motivated by a desire to do something for their community and help others in need. What you will receive from the program? Volunteering is a great and easy way to meet people, practice your Spanish and experience many of the different aspects of the culture in Mexico. You also get to make special bonds with those who need it most. Can anyone volunteer? The volunteer program is open to any Linguas Spanish Immersion student at no additional cost. You can choose to volunteer from 4 – 20 hours per week depending on how much time you want to spend. Our volunteer programs are very flexible and we can schedule classes around the volunteer program and vice-versa. Just let us know how much time you want to volunteer, any preferences that you may have, and how much time you would like to study at Linguas. We will arrange the rest for you. The volunteer program is free to all students enrolled in our Spanish Immersion program. Options? We have partnered with various organizations in and around Guadalajara that offer volunteer programs such as assisting the elderly, working with children, helping the underprivileged, and more. Our most popular is a local orphanage. Here the volunteers get to interact with the children, play games, work with the other volunteers, and most of all, have a great time spreading smiles. We have also arranged special volunteer programs for those students in the medical field.
